Top ten Universities of India

India Today partnered with AC Nielsen to determine the top ten universities in the arts, science and commerce stream.Only universities that offered post graduate courses in arts, science and commerce were considered. Delhi University has maintained its top position for the second year in a row in the India Today AC Neilsen best universities survey. DU is followed by Banaras Hindu University (BHU), the University of Calcutta, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). AMU becomes the surprise entry which grab the fifth position this year. Last year the university occupied the eleventh position.Apart from Aligarh Muslim University, the other top risers this year were Gauhati University, Ranchi university, North Eastern Hill University and Mangalore University.
